I'm trying to be responsible and get the transmission fluid changed on my 2017 Q5 before any problems start. I've called a few places and one shop mentioned they have a Certified Oil Change Specialist Abu Dhabi on staff who only does transmission services. That sounds impressive but I honestly don't know if that's a real certification or just something they made up. Is there an actual training program or certificate for transmission oil changes specifically? Or is this just marketing speak? I don't want to overpay for a fancy title if it doesn't mean anything. But if it's legit, I'm happy to pay more for someone who actually knows the correct procedures for a ZF 8 speed. Can anyone explain what certifications actually exist in this field in the UAE? And how do I verify if someone is truly certified?
